SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

Deadline: April 8th, 2022

What to submit:

New channels, paid campaigns, employee advocacy programs, virtual events, marketing automation workflows, partner programs – and so much more. Really any innovative marketing experiment from the last calendar year.

The winning marketing experiment will be judged using any or all of the following criteria. Your submission does not have to include performance criteria, and can win on other criteria alone.

  • Creativity: something you haven’t seen before, or you took something and made it different or much better
  • Design: the design is so appealing, either visually or through copy (for example, an incredibly well-worded outbound campaign). It can also be process design or system design from an operations perspective
  • Performance: it had breakout performance using meaningful KPIs. Beat industry benchmarks, your goals, etc.

How it works:

  1. Submit the form using the instructions below. The team will review submissions and select finalists based on the criteria above
  2. If you’re chosen as a finalist, one of our team members will reach out to you by April 8th and give you detailed instructions on how to prepare for the event
  3. We’ll work with you up until the event to make it as easy as possible

What to put in the submission form:

  • Give us the full rundown of your marketing experiment
  • What made your marketing experiment stand out? Was it different? Was it better?
  • How did you approach it? What steps did you take? We’re looking for the SparkNotes version
  • What were the results? (quantitative or qualitative)
  • Remember, performance doesn’t matter if you did something that’s not been done before or had amazing design
  • Add any files or links that can help give context to the marketing experiment

How winners will be chosen:​

  • Five finalists will be selected from all submissions based on the criteria noted above
  • During the event, the five finalists will each have 20 minutes to present their innovation/experiment
  • Each finalist will be scored by a panel of three big name B2B marketers, based on the criteria above, as well as audience voting
  • Audience voting will count for 40% of the score

Fine print

  • All of the submissions will be kept confidential during the finalist selection process
  • Your submission should only include work from the last calendar year
  • Finalists will need to have approval to present their innovation
  • If you’re selected based on performance, but don’t want your data revealed during the event, that is ok. We can keep the specific performance metrics confidential and only shared with judges
  • Submissions open on March 8th and close at midnight, PST on April 8th
  • Open to any B2B marketer in the US/CA (not Quebec) 18 and over
  • The cash prize of $10,000 USD will be awarded to the individual submitting the form. However, it can be split amongst up to 5 people. We’ll need to do it via 1099
  • Need to be available to attend the virtual event on May 10th from 10:00am – 1:00pm PDT

Grant of Rights to Content. I hereby grant the Company a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free right and license to reproduce, display, perform, copy, modify and distribute any content included in my presentation or other materials I provide in connection with the Event.

Permission to use Likeness. In connection with the Event, I grant the Company a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free license to use my name, image, voice and likeness, including in video streams, photographs, video recordings, audio recordings and/or other means of recording and streaming images and/or sound as arranged by the Company in connection with the Event (“Recordings”), in any media now known or hereafter created. I agree that Company will have the right to edit and enhance, broadcast, telecast, duplicate, distribute, publicly perform, publicly display, sell or otherwise exhibit my name, image voice and likeness and the Recordings worldwide in all forms of media, now known or hereafter created. I agree Company will own all rights and titles in and to the Recordings.
