Better Bids, Better Results: Say Hello to the Metadata Bid Agent

Jessica Kezia

As a marketer, I know the guesswork and challenges of dealing with LinkedIn bidding all too well. Bid too low, and you’re not spending enough—your pacing takes a hit. Bid too high, and your budget disappears before you see results. Auto-bidding can save you time, but it often comes at a higher cost that LinkedIn cannot justify.

When you’re looking to spend smarter—getting the best results without overspending—you need something that’s both efficient and strategic. That’s why I’m excited to share a new feature we’ve rolled out at Metadata: The Metadata Bid Agent. It’s designed to take the guesswork out of LinkedIn bidding and help you get the most out of every dollar spent.

What is the Metadata Bid Agent?

The Metadata Bid Agent is like having a data scientist working behind the scenes of your LinkedIn campaigns. It analyzes multiple bids, predicts outcomes for missing data, and automatically selects the bid that will drive the best results while keeping you on budget. Metadata’s Bid Agent is customized based on your current and historical campaigns and their bids on LinkedIn.

Whether your goal is lead generation or brand awareness, it helps you do more with your campaigns by spending smarter—not more.

How does it work?

Here’s a quick example to show how it works.

Let’s say you’ve set a daily LinkedIn budget of $300. The Bid Agent evaluates different bids, uses historical data to fill in gaps, and picks the bid that delivers the best results while staying within your budget:

In this example, there are missing data points for the bids $6 and $9. This happens due to limited historical data or lack of bid exploration. The Bid Agent uses historical data pop to predict 18 leads for the $6 bid and 30 leads for the $9 bid based on observed patterns.

It then selects a bid of $7 because it generates the highest number of leads (25) without exceeding the $300 budget. This saves you $2 per CPC and generates the same or more leads than what you would have gotten with $9 CPC. It also extends your budget to target more audience.

The best part? It works automatically. No more babysitting bids or endless trial and error. The Bid Agent runs in the background, continuously learning and improving to ensure your campaigns are always optimized.

Why is this important?

Bidding on LinkedIn is critical to how well your campaigns perform. Doing it manually takes time and effort, with constant calculations and adjustments. Auto-bid saves time but often comes at a higher cost than necessary.

That’s where the Metadata Bid Agent makes a difference:

  • It saves you time. No more manual bid adjustments or constant tweaking.
  • It spends smarter. By predicting performance and filling in gaps, it avoids the extremes of over- or under-bidding.
  • It keeps improving. The Bid Agent adapts to new data, helping your campaigns stay optimized as conditions change.

For me, this is more than just a feature—it’s about having confidence that every dollar is working as hard as it can.

The results speak for themselves.
